Martin Thoburn is a pluralist artist working in a variety of different media. With a background in Graphic Design and Animation and Digital Media, Martin has has produced and directed several short films both animated and live action. He has also explored photography, live video mixing (VJing) and traditional collage.

Martin’s work is strongly influenced by the both analog and digital technologies. Working with both modern and antique technologies sometimes in tandem his work explores the uniqueness of the medium, technology, or tool. Often working backwards, from form to concept, he sets his own limits as to how his work will be constructed.

Martin has worked as a director, animator, video editor and graphic designer for several years. His background in the commercial arts is as diverse as his personal portfolio.
